Teachers are constantly searching for ways to get students to collaborate with one another. Students can learn a variety of skills by working with one another. Not only can they sharpen each others content knowledge, they also can learn life long social skills through peer interaction. Google has made collaboration simple through a variety of apps. Anyone with a gmail account can create powerpoints, documents, spreadsheets, forms, and more. Sure, most computers have these resources but with google instant online collaboration is possible. Above is a powerpoint three of my peers and I created in class recently. A picture of us is posted below. We each chose our own topic and were able to put all our findings together simultaneously. You simply have to press the share button, allow everyone with the link to edit, then email the link to everyone you wish to work with. Ultimately, using google for any of these apps can allow students to collaborate more efficiently than ever.
